If Davy made the set under Johnny Burkes supervision and in his work shop, and with Johnny Burkes reamers made to his spec,then the chanter and regs must also be to that spec, then lets agree it a copy of a Johnny Burke set. :wink: all the best.

Davy plays his own concert D pipes now, but he dos have a lovely concert set by the late Johnny Burke, Davy probably has a few sets by other earlier makers, have a look at this, he playing the Johnny burke set it seems with one of his own chanters.

Told YA! C&F is the No1 site in every way for Uilleann piping.... :wink: I just hope it isn't going to be loaded down with persons selling there pipes, a quick mention seems fine & OK and you can use your PM's, but lets not have to much advertiseing, I'm not meaning to up set any of you guys...

I did two years at a wood turning school, and let me tell you what some of them older boys in there could do with a piece of wood on a lathe was no ones business, I still think one could on a well centred lathe, and with a hollow drill guide in the tail stock, could drill the bores, without rotating...

I use a piece of honey suckle in my tenor drone tansy, its not very loud but it has a lovely tone, been in my tenor drone now around three years and is still singing away. all the best.
