I had the four-key revoiced, and it's awesome. Total investment will have been less than $800 altogether. Chas, Who revoiced your antique? I have a Kohlert that is in great condition except it's LP and the long F key has been repaired. I have around 200usd in it and am thinking of having it worked ...

..Snip....If you only have 20 minutes, try to make it the same time every day if you can. It will become part of your daily ritual - like brushing your teeth or making your coffee. It will be just *what you do*. ...Snip... Fyffer is spot on with this one. Not only does it become your ritual, but ev...

BmacD,

Here's a link to a script that will allow you to plug in all your variables.

http://www.cwo.com/~ph_kosel/flutomat.html

Even if it doesn't help it's fun to play with.

I practice/play during my commute to and from work! ... Fyffer, have you ever considered taking up Lilting instead? Much safer for everyone<grin>. I practice about 1.5/2 hours a day. Warm the flute up/ find my lip by running through old tunes. Then, its scales or octave jumps (mainly looking at int...

I agree. My post was just to make sure the line hadn't formed already.

As for e-mailing, I think I'll hold off -- I'd hate to disturb a artist at work just to satisfy my curiosity.

McElvogue CD ???

Hello Folks,

I was wondering if anyone has any news on Tom's CD. Have I miss the release or has it been delayed.

Come to think of it, I haven't seen any postings from Tom lately.

Thanks and Happy New Year.

Rowly, First, welcome to the boards. I use Slow Sessions from the Whistle Shop. Thom has done a great job of putting together the list of tunes that they use at his "slow session". Each tune has two mp3s (one regular speed and one about three quarter speed) and the sheet music. One good th...

Byron -- If you need a place to crash, let me know. ! Thanks for the invite, but my Mom and sister still live in L'ville. In fact, I lived about 3 blocks (up Princeton) from the festival site for six years or so back in the mid-eighties. So, I know I can at least find the thing. My reservations are...

Cathy, While I'd love to meet everyone, I'm still trying to juggle my plans for the weekend. Originally I was going to come over on Sat, Sat night, and Sun. Now I want to see the Varlet/Claudy concert on Fri night. I don't know. I'll find a way. If I do make a session I'll be leaving my flute at hom...

Thanks for the reminder Cathy. Didn't I see on the webpage that your group was playing opposite John Skelton on Sunday (maybe it was saturday, it has been a while since I checked). Bummer of a scheduling conflict. But, I guess I'll manage with a bit of tent hopping. Please keep up informed of any fl...

MR. Olwell will probably be able to give you all the flutes details when you return it for the repairs. When you get the scoop be sure to let us know...We love that kind of stuff.
