I see tonguing like a cut, a tap or any other ornamentation. And some ornamentation is neccesary for any tune to sound good. Of course if you repeat the same ornament every single note it sounds horrible. Anyway, just listen to good whistle and flute players and, if you listen carefully, you'll sure...

The only advice I've got is: Just follow your heart. I've always did that; I didn't finished the high school at the given time, I choosed to study other things and a few years later I did finally finished it... when te time was right to me . I feel that's the only important thing in our lives, to li...

I found a PHP site about this kind of password or code, the real name is CAPTCHA. This one is easy to understand and include in current guestbooks: http://php.webmaster-kit.com/
Also it's free!

Using that graphic "password", as Tony and djm mentioned, may work; but of course only if the spam is written by a bot... And it shouldn't be difficult at all to make it in PHP. You can give it a try and also you can ask here any question you may have. I used to program in PHP and I bet th...

I agree, Dixons are great whistles. Clean, pure an sweet. Best for playing alone indoors or recording with a mic. I look forward to play a "Session Dixon" if they come out sometime.

If the motherboard were really suitable for overclocking then you'd be able to change the volage setting directly from the bios :) But I agree you should try a new processor if you can. That would really simplify things. And about the last post, a 550Mhz 1.6V procesor may work just fine at 1.75V, so...

I asked exactly the same question to Mike Burke, and here's his reply: The Aluminum is brighter and the brass more warm and buttery, but both are pure and well balanced, I think. Perhaps the brass a bit more so than the aluminum on the balance. I finally got a Brass Session and I completely agree th...

Jerry, I believe it may be a power issue... the original Athlon 500 worked with 1.6V, but the TBird 950 uses 1.75V... maybe you have to switch your motherboard to this higher voltage. Do you have the user manual or any info about the jumpers and/or switches on the MB? Or you can also try looking for...

The same thing happened to me with mi Feadog Pro, so I guess it's normal.
And it didn't clean, it seems to be some kind of chemical reaction... but IMO it's like the patina on the brass whistles, I like it :)

I'm posting some pics, there're not many pics of the Burke Viper so I will share a couple... The tuning slide is different to other whistles, you have to move the upper part. You can also dissasemble the whistle separating the body from the tunning slide (which stays with the fipple) and also the la...

bearbro, the second octave will sound louder than the first in all whistles. And while it's true that the Megs are better balanced than other cheapies, this volume difference is completely natural and with some time you'll get used to it. I actually enjoy the upper second octave in my Water Weasel N...
