Really, I've gotten great results with a Delta midi lathe. I would still some day like a metal lathe for making tools, though.

For the sizes used on pipes, you usually have to make your own from sheet stock. Most makers of silver tube make small sizes suited to jewelry. I wish I could find nickle silver tubes. No one seems to make those.

I guess I can say it now. I was honored to do the cover art for the C.D. Many emails and long phone conversations proved what a truly nice man David is. I miss the talks.

If it's sort of an unstable growly sound, try a 3/4" x 1 1/2" piece of cardstock. Roll it into a tube and shove it up the bottom of the chanter into place between the bottom two finger holes.
