I recently bought a set of these. I love playing it and the sound really is beautiful. I am certain the neighbors think a new and better whistler has moved in. When I first played it I was ready to get rid of all my other whistles (Clarke, Feadog, Generation, Little Black, Susato). I've decided to k...

Tune suggestion--Homeward Bound by Althouse/Keen
I've posted a few times to this forum, mostly to ask questions about how to keep good care of my whistles. This time I want to recommend a tune by Jay Althouse, lyrics by Marta Keen--"Homeward Bound". A recording of solo voice is easily found on the web as well as a slower version sung by ...

Cleaning Bamboo Whistles
I recently bought a couple inexpensive bamboo whistles (a low G and a low D to see if I like playing a low D before I spend lots of money on one). What should I do to clean and care for these in general? Anything I can do to help keep the mouthpiece sanitary, or am I just out of luck with the bamboo?

Help with Joint Grease
I've got Susatos with removable head section. The whistles come with joint grease and instructions to use at the joints, but nothing more is said. Is it best to use this at the top of the body? On the head section? How much? How often? Similarly, if I have other sets of whistles with exchangable hea...

Clarke Woodstock?
I just saw (okay, I bought) a Clarke Woodstock at a music store, along with one of the original Clarke's. I don't see much discussion about the Woodstock in my internet search. Is this simply a Sweetone or a Meg by another (perhaps earlier) name? Can anyone tell me more?

General care and preventing rust
I'm fairly new to the whistle and have a couple questions. 1. I live in a tropical climate (Hawaii) and the last tin whistle I had rusted. I have a Susato (and it won't rust!), but I also have a new Sweetone. Is there any thing I can do to prevent it from rusting? 2. Where can I find good informatio...
