I do love the Chieftains earlier stuff, but not so much of the "cross-over" music they have performed more recently. As a youngman of 42 I prefer Lunasa over the Chieftains tis just my thought. With that said if the Chieftains were coming close, I would definitely go (schedule permitting)....

I am glad to see that they are playing together this Christmas. Jerry's randition of "Baloo Lamey" is very nice. Bonnie on fiddle, Jerry on pipes and then add the harp...just very beautiful indeed.

Jerry must not be playing on tour with Bonnie Rideout this year for Christmas as he normally is. He alos usually plays some set with Spillane in NY this time of year.

I noticed some slight cahnges to the playability of my reeds, but then I just open the hot-tub cover for about 15 minutes to allow some moisture in the air and the reeds are good to go again......

I say that if your BF truely cares for you he will change his key..... Actually M.Burke makes a very nice Low C, but I also agree what other on the thread have advised.

My first Chieftain was an OS high D. When I found out that phil had made whistle in Brass (Golds) I bought everyone I could get me hands on, but have since sold all but a Gold Low D.
