Yes, that is correct about the regs being Thomson. I had considered purchasing them a few years ago. But I contacted Seth Gallagher since the seller said that they had just been in his shop. In any case, I still have photos of those regs. http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y226/dacross/ThompsonRegs1.j...

Hello Mr. Stephenson

I made a set of bellows, four years ago, based on information I gathered from your site. They are a good set of bellows.

That is a good deal.

My father in law is in Tyler Texas at this time, in the hospital. Hope he recovers well. He is from Athens TX, about 45 miles away.

I do sympathize with you. I have gone through the same thing several times. But, as has been stated, six months is such a short wait time. When I started out I just ordered a chanter, and that took six months. And that was one of the shortest wait times I could find. I made my own bellows in the mea...

It is another great line up.

Jimmy is a likeable character, but I think my kids are a little scared of him. He had joked around with them but I think they thought he was serious.

I would like Benedict to put out a solo CD, he is a really excellent piper.

I will keep my eyes open too. Dave Williams work is fairly distinctive even without the engraving. Good luck.

Hopefully you wont have as long of a wait as Gabriel McKeagney. The guy that took his pipes laid low for over a year.

Thanks Dale.

I was very proud of the Surly title, but that is probably because I am not really surly. Although my kids would beg to differ at times. I never new how mad I could get until I had kids, even though I love them more than anything else.

If anyone is actually offended here at being called surly, it must be a very small portion of this board, and they are probably the surliest of the lot.

That was great. And that was Pete Seeger with him. Pete used to rent my grandmothers cabin. That was a long time ago. It was a nice little cabin.

It is a small world.

A neighbor of mine has a replica of a 1929 Bugatti. It is a cute car. My kids call it Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. Not in that kind of condition though.

The torpedo-back Sting Ray is one of my favorites too. The AC Shelby Cobra is my number one choice though.

I would enjoy the convertable that Bill posted. Or a Cord.

A long time ago I used to play highland pipes in a rock band and there was this place doing a four week summer rock band show (Saturdays and Sundays) that the band I played with was invited to perform in. The music hall wanted me to play every night though, to start the show. I would start playing t...

I prefer a 14.5mm gouge. 15mm is too broad and 14mm is too narrow.

Well the name started when they were the Brooklin Dodgers, and I am sure they had to do a lot of dodging there.
