FS: Christopher Bayley Half Set

Hi everyone! I've decided to sell my concert pitch half set made by Christopher Bayley UK. Even though I share a mutual 7 year history with that set, unfortunately it wasn't a playing one ... The set was completely looked over by Chris Bayley in 2015 and it was ready to play when I picked it up in p...

Re: Price estimation of a not playable Half-Set

Since I'm finishing my master's degree next month and a little bit of extra cash would help me until I find a job, I finally decided to sell the set mentioned in this thread (just noticed that I posted it almost one year ago :-o). So I would like to ask your opinion if 1000$ would be a good price? O...

Re: Price estimation of a not playable Half-Set

Thanks for the answers so far! @ Ted Thanks for the suggestion, didn't think about that! Still, Tom is quite busy these days and I'd really like to close this unfortunate chapter now :) @ Elmek Yes, I bought the set in non playing condition (with some of the wood broken beneath one brass cover) . Price estimation of a not playable Half-Set

Hi Uilleann-community In 2009 I bought a Half-Set made by Chris Bayley from Ebay (a french seller it was). Because some parts (chanter, bellows, bag) weren't playable I had to send them to Chris Bayley for a repair. After a looong time I got it back in spring this year. The now fully-keyed chanter i...

Re: Name this tune please?

Instead of opening another "whats this tune called?" thread I just use this existing one. I hope this isn't a problem :) So, could someone tell me the name of that nice tune which starts around 00:47 min, please? http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=KPVUmyq-lAs That w...

FS: Michael Vignoles Uilleann Pipes chanter 380$

I'm selling an uilleann pipes chanter made by Michael Vignoles from Galway in 2008/2009 (as I bought my first practice set). I'm selling it because I play an O'Grady chanter that has a better tone than the Vignoles one. The reed of the chanter is more quiet than usual and I don't know if it could be...

Re: Neil O'Grady Pipes

Hm, if it wasn't Tom Aebi, I don't know if I would have allowed another maker to alter the chanter. But there seem to be only a few pipemakers who understand the pipes and pipemaking like Tom Aebi does. So he had my trust.

Re: Neil O'Grady Pipes

I'd like to share my opinion about O'Gradys pipes too. Two months ago I bought a second hand Grady chanter from Ebay for 450$. I got them very quick but the two reeds that came with it didn't do it. As the pound was low I bought a Brian Howard reed like a year ago and this seemed to fit the chanter ...
