Re: Wood whistles that won't break the bank?
Abell whistle is good and OzWhistle is too. Oz Prices are Australian $ which might bring it into your price range depending on exchange rates. Different woods to choose from also.

Well i'm a bit of a gambler so I'll leave this offer up for a while - if no offers then I will not lose sleep.

Re: Trade: Oz Whistle for OzWhistle (or Abell)
... Give me wood that looks like wood any day. The one you have is gorgeous and I'll bet it plays like a champ. I'd keep it. Its the champ of all my D whistles for sure, but the only one which would be tradeworthy. I don't like to accumulate too many whistles (although i have been guilty before) an...

WTT: Oz Whistle for Oz Whistle/Abell
I have an Oz Whistle made from Gidgee/Phosphor Bronze, a beautiful instrument, that I would like to trade for either an African Blackwood Oz Whistle (D) or an Abell D. I was hoping to be able to buy the blackwoods, but unfortunately money being tight I am forced to trade. Photos to follow...(if I ca...

Re: For Sale: MK Low D (green)
I have been keeping my ear to the ground for a while now trying to suss out the low D whistle market. While everyones taste is different, the Mk seems to bubble through as a common favourite, however the sweetheart low D "resonance" seems to come through as a popular option. Has the sweeth...

Re: New head for Howard Low Whistle
I've been interested in how much the new head improved it. I have one which i hardly use now because its so hard to get to the high notes without blowing really hard. if the new head fixes that then im gonna get one. i love the whistle in the lower range...

Re: FS: new model Sweetheart whistle/fife
Lorenzo,
I have a couple of questions.
Is it rosewood or blackwood?
Pipers grip or easy reach?
Can you post some photos of it?
thanks
Colin

Re: Low d whistle or flute
After reading this I am tempted to try a flute, but until this I have been toying with the idea of getting a low d sweetheart whistle. (It usually has positive reviews). The sweetheart whistle also comes with a flute head - if I were looking for a "good" flute as recommended above, would t...
