Re: WTB: Wooden Whistle $125 or Less **Yes, I'm a Cheapo!**
She just wants a wooden one... I think Susato's would be more than sufficient to get her started out in the right direction but she said she was on the prowl for wood bc of the tone or something like that *shrug* Thanks for all the input thus far!

WTB: Wooden Whistle $125 or Less **Yes, I'm a Cheapo!**
Ok, a friend is getting some things for my little gremlins [rabbits] for Christmas and has been searching for a wooden whistle to play music w/ her husband (he does piano and I THINK guitar). She was wanting an Abell but said they're about $300 and I'm not having much luck on eBay finding anything l...

FS: 2 Fifes - One Rosewood Bb & One Grenadilla Crosby C!
I keep getting more things in and now I want them out!! Something recently came up and I have a bunch of stuff to sort through, etc. and do NOT need to worry about getting rid of stuff and getting it out when more is coming in! ARGH! I know this isn't a Boehm site so I'll leave that stuff to anyone ...

Ok, I did a test today during an ADD moment! I WAS taking photos of a flute but then grabbed the whistle and messed with it a little bit facing in a different direction of the puppy and she didn't mind it. A few minutes later she came over and then protested a little bit. I decided to try to get her...

She hangs out around me and does it... I don't think she's ever run away (if so it was when she was really little (8-12weeks)) but she usually just hands around the area where I am and does it. The first time she did a HORRIBLE howl and I thought she hurt herself somehow and it was like a bloodcurdl...

Flute or Whistle Recommendation?
Ok so... Recently my 5 month old puppy, Willow, has shared her disgust with the pitch of the standard C flute and the D whistle I have. She's perfectly fine with the piano ranges which is quite odd but hates even the lowest register of the C flute. Do you [anyone!] think a low D whistle or flute wou...

I think that flute is quite interesting but also looks like a mild headache with the little locking areas and open G# (I'm sure cork would love that setup lol!) but looks different and has long pointed keys much similar to Noblet... http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y24/foreverwoodwinds/IMG_6937gall....

Hmm... Vertically-Played Flute...
I believe a few folks tried doing something like this on a few flutes (I believe Jem was one) but just went through my emails and noticed a Galway forum post with a link to this: http://s471.photobucket.com/albums/rr78/kymarto/ I skimmed through the messages but this particular flute is quite intere...

What logo is this?
**UPDATE: I believe it is Hüller G.H. in Hermesgrün Schöneck ** Thanks! I found this recently and the logo looks VERY familiar - a lyre-type logo - but I cannot place it to a name/manufacturer. Any ideas? Thanks! -Suzie http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Lovely-wooden-keyed-D-flute-for-Irish-Folk-SERVICED_W0QQit...
