Re: New brass rings for a concert O'riordan plus something else

thanks for the advise. I'll definitely try to polish it and I won't replace it and just see it as having character as feadoggie suggested.

Doc I didn't know that, in that case I'll keep the C body as well. I hate it just sitting there not being used but It's not the end of the world either.

New brass rings for a concert O'riordan plus something else

hi all, I was hoping I could get some help here. I have a used blackwood concert d/c O'riordan that I love it was made in 2005. I bought it strictly for the D whistle and I would never part with it this amazing whistle. I have trouble for some reason covering the bottom holes of whistles with very f...

Re: Burke's Cleaning Instructions

One whistle I ended up keeping was a burke I bought brand new and I have the instructions, I don't see a copyright so I assume it's ok to post it for the benefit of others.

Sorry for being so vague when I posted I wasn't thinking it all the way through. It's an Oz Whistles - Vambrace D African blackwood with special sterling silver fittings.

Oz D whistle for sale SOLD

Hi, I purchased this Oz whistle new from Oz about a year or so ago and never got around to using it. If blowing in it once to see how it sounded is considered used then it is used. There's nothing wrong with it. Piano is my first instrument and I was interested in playing the tin whistle but to be h...

Re: My first session - a real humbling experiece

Linda, My heart goes out to you. Don't feel discouraged, it takes time to get to the point where those wonderful folks are. I speak from experience as a pianist and beginner tooter  I often felt that way when I was learning the piano but I would never let it get me down because I knew someday ...

Holy Cow this is a must have whistle. I ordered one and a week and a half later it arrived in the mail. I was blown away :o My whistle collection has increased to 9 over the past year. I thought I was done but I had to have this one and I'm glad I did. It does sound like a bird.

SusatoDkildare&Jerry Freeman tweaked generation Bb SOLD

hi, I haven't been here in quite a while. The piano teacher is keeping me extremely busy with violin duets but I continue to play the tin whistle. Hope everyone is doing grand. I've narrowed down to the whistles that I like and use and these 2 are gathering dust. I'm a chronic non pack rat and I'd l...

I bought a couple of them and ended up giving them away. They were too breathy for me. I would recommend a tweaked shaw or tweaked sweetone for a beginner instead.

Any suggestions for overcomming ties to sheet music? Hi there. I used to have that problem as well with the piano. I relied on my sheet music to be there and never wanted to memorize or if I did I still relied on the sheet music just for security. I've weaned myself from that and all it takes is pr...
