Some of my more creative ideas come to me in the night ..... at work .... when I`m trying hard to avoid working. Unfortunately, my spellcheck isn`t always up when I am.( CONVOLUTED was the word I was attempting to type) I see no reason why this "technique" shouldn`t give you the sound you ...

This may be a bit more covaluted than you care to try but you could tune ALL of the strings down a step, tune the top strings up to where you want them and then use a capo to bring it back up to a more standard pitch.

Very, very nice. I would love to "see" your style and since I don`t live in your neighborhood that means you need to add a video. I`m a guitarist of 40+ years of dabbling and when I grow up I would like to play like you. Gary

If he`s like me and there are no pictures to remind him of those happy times, he probably can`t remember them.

:o I didn`t mean to infer that you WERE that type. From the direction of the posts you didn`t sound like the front man type and neither am I. I always enjoyed my moment to shine but never really liked taking center stage for long. I think it would be a little easier in a supper club setting where yo...

I don`t know what your personality is like but as for me the solo thing never flew. As a guitarist I was fine in a trio playing lead/rythym and singing but after the breakup my solo career lasted about a month. I didn`t/don`t have the confidence...... personality.... ego to say hey, listen to me, I`...

" I used to play with a band....... now I just play with myself" (an old musician`s joke, but then I`m an old musician). When you`re used to playing with a group it`s easy to back off occasionally and just go along for the ride but going solo sort of leaves you naked to the world. Personal...

...Saints preserve us !!! An Irish lover lost in Uff-da land. I would venture a guess that MPR enthralled us both with the sounds and sensations of the Emerald Isle if you were living here when that happened. My ancestry is less Irish than yours with a spatering of Scottish and English. I would have...

Scarneys..... beautiful, relaxing, paints pictures in my mind.Beyond that I don`t know the artists. I do,however , have a suggestion for preserving your taped music until you find the answer. This is not a product endorsement of any kind. I had some absolutely irreplaceable tapes that were slowly de...

Hans...... thank you for the response. using your information I looked closer at my own finger span. From outside index finger to outside ring finger left hand my comfortable reach is 100mm while my right is only 85mm. Being a right handed guitarist this makes sense. I`m readjusting my hand position...

So sorry to have ruffled your feathers rama. As a beginning flute player I practice which makes me a practitioner by at least one definition, my longevity and expertise in the medical field permits me the right to make fun of my profession. Neither of these makes me a ho. I`ve joined in with this co...
