But if you truly like your soda to taste like cough syrup, skip the Dr. Pepper and try this North Carolina specialty: http://content.answers.com/main/content/wp/en/thumb/7/7e/300px-Cheerwine.jpg I had to make a special pitstop on our way north from Asheville to snag a few bottles of this for my dau...

Thanks for the BBC link, chrisoff! I just started college French, which has been interesting. I'm slowly catching on, but I'm so used to Spanish pronunciations that unlearning is slowing me down a bit. I've also found a few language tutoring podcasts than I'm going to check out. I can read quite a b...

Well, yeah, I know who they are! I was thinking more along the lines of whistle/flute workshop teachers. Sorry, I wasn't very clear!

CelticFest Mississippi

I think it's the closest Irish festival to me, so I'm going to make a darn good attempt to go. I'd love to finally get to attend a workshop and get some proper instruction. Anyone else going? Or at least has anyone had any of the flute and whistle instructors and can give me an idea if they'll be go...

I'd like to see a picture of it. How does it work? (Assuming it doesn't turn the flute into a low whistle).

I thought I didn't have enough air for a Clarke, but then I tried playing after messing around with my Bb for awhile. Since it takes more air to play the Bb, I had gotten used to the greater air requirements. Suddenly, I could play the Clarke with ease! Like s1m0n said, it's all in your head (or che...
