I'm new to playing the whistle and I was wondering whether to train myself to play by ear or to learn to read music. I could see the positives and negatives of both. I've now been playing the whistle for about two weeks and I've found that I need to listen to the music as well as read it. Some notes...

My cat can't stand me playing my whistle, he lies on the end of my bed whilst I practice and gives me evil glares.

He also fidgets a lot; turning away from me...like that will make the sound quieter haha.

Hi, usually if I'm not at home when a delivery arrives they take the item back to the nearest depot. Perhaps they will do this and keep trying to deliver until someone is able to sign for it? Do you know the company who will be delivering your item? Maybe you could contact them, if you have an order...

Basically I'd like to know is there any difference between the 'Penny Whistle for Beginners Book + CD' , (which also comes with a Tin Whistle MEG) and the 'Clarke Tin Whistle Tutor Handbook and CD' I recently bought the 'C...

Hi everyone I'd thought I'd introduce myself. I'm 18 and I bought my first whistle on Tuesday, a Generation Nickel in key of D. (I've also ordered a Clarke Sweetone) I can't read musician and I've never played an instrument before apart from at school when I messed around with a piano. At the moment...

I received an email saying my order is being 'processed'...but I haven't heard anything since. Anyway...I went down to my local music shop (I wasn't expecting them to sell whistles...s...
