Hi All, well, the normal story i guess, student + piper (great highland bagpipe) + no money + no time... so i'm selling my 1/2 set, made by Chris bayley in 2007, allmost didn't played it. the set is all blackwood, chanter fully chromatic (with 4 keys) - taylor style. the bass drone is however normal...

I've arrived to Edinburgh a few days ago. truely beatifull place.
this is my first time i've used a computer since i've landed.
now I'm looking for pipers close to me....

Believe me, if I had room I would take them both. but because I have a good GHB teacher here, but not UP teacher, I will take this oppretinity to take UP lessons...

as for the piping centre, if I'll have time i would go there, but will just wait&see...

Thing is, I have a great teacher here for the GHB, he was Pipe Major and all (in Hawaii!) and even a pipe band, but for the UP I don't really have one here. and this could be my only chance for the next couple of years to learn from a very good teacher. I'm sure there are alot of uilleann pipers in ...

Scotland, here I come!

On Monday I'll be flying to Scotland for a few months, and I'll be in Edinburgh or Aberdeen. anyone knows about pipers\teachers there? I'm taking my UP with me. (and leaving the GHB behind...)
Finally I could have a teacher! (hopefully...)

all i know is that Sean Potts plays a B set. you can hear it in his tutorial, altough on the lessons he plays on a Hunter concert pitched...

I'm pretty sure Arundo Donax will catch pretty good here, as we have a good climate for such plants. with the few slips I've found, which was dead and dry, the fibers of the cane was bigger and much softer, and i couldn't get a sharp result on the reeds. this is caused by my poor reed-making ability...
