Hi Tim !
All my wooden recorders are conical, but I didn't know there were some wooden conical whistles. Great information, as I like the way conical metal whistle play.

Re: Anderson European whistle tour
I would say a kind of "lack of control" by the French post ...Maybe some kind of "control" by the french post?
There were also some vacations in France last week that can explain the delay.
The shipment was made 7 days ago, so I hope it will arrive soon.

Re: Anderson European whistle tour
Here is finally my small review of the whistle (I'm very sorry for the big delay...) The whistle is presented in a beautiful wooden box with some red felt to protect it. http://gauthiet.club.fr/tinwhistle/anderson1.jpg http://gauthiet.club.fr/tinwhistle/anderson2.jpg The whistle looks really awsome ...

Re: Anderson European whistle tour
Berti,
I was in holidays last week, so I took the whistle yesterday at my local post office !
It's in perfect condition and looks great.
I'll take some time to play it and will let you know.

Thanks Pascal and Jemtheflute. I think that I can now better imagine how the LeMeur whistle play. If the D goes in the second octave somewhere in between the Burke and the Dixon Trad, that should be OK for me as I enjoy my Dixon, even if the E and D are a bit weak. Pascal, tu es bourguignon ? moi au...

Thanks for the informations. There seems to be very different opinions here, from people who love them to people who don't like them. Jemtheflute, I suppose you also dislike the aluminiums Burkes, aren't you ? The only purely objective con that I see is the clogging issue in the above mentionned lin...

Thanks for the review. This whistle sounds very interresting to me. Concerning the bell note, I have a Bb Susato and noticed exactly the same thing. When you are used to play this particular whistle, this is OK, but when you use several whistles, I find it difficult to pick this whistle on the pile ...

The bell note needs delicacy : yes, that's the correct wording. I'm not used to that because I usually play a Burke DBSBT which has a strong bell note, and a home made whistle on which I worked to have a very strong bell note which doesn't need any delicacy at all. So the Susato is annoying for me i...
