Our friends the whistles
This question penetrates deep into the psyche of the whistler and might be personal for some.
Have any of you ever named your whistles? I have a Shaw A named Molly. The others are nameless. (I've also been known to name my shoes and hats despite ridicule from my wife.)

Learn to half-hole the C-natural. It's easy enough that little kids in Ireland learn it routinely. Half holing is the only way that I've found to really get a great C natural. My understanding is that some whistles are actually designed to half holed (Sindt). It's tricky at first, but with practice...

Boys of the Lough live in Tennessee
I just found out that Boys of the Lough is coming to my college (Collegedale, Tennessee; 15 minutes from Chattanooga). Adult tickets are 10 dollars which seems pretty good to me. If anyone is interested, email me and I'll be happy to give you directions to the college.
