I bought a chanter from uilleannobsession.com classifieds two years ago and ask a local pipemaker for the bag and bellows. The practice was very satisfactory for me and I could save a lot of money. Now and after new additions I have the full set.

if you want a really well tuned and full keyed chanter you can ask Brian Howard to it. One of the best chanters I have heard.

The best option is to visit your confidence pipemaker and he shall do the best. Anyhow, before making any hole is better to make sure its position. Do it yourself can brings your headaches and nightmares. This kind of jobs I always try to do at my friend and pipemaker´s workshop. Saludos Xavi.
