I used hot water and it destroyed a Sweetone D. Bent it out of shape. Ain't doing it again. Fortunately, I have three more. I bought four Sweetones and two of them are as sharp as any pro whistle. I bought several other types, Generations, Oak, Waltons mellow D, and etc, and they rattle, and squeak....
