Its just so much easier to play along ... so stick with it, even when the going gets tough. I've also in the last year ...

Yeah - I found this CD great for learning some tunes, especially for learning by ear. The settings are fairly standard as well, so plenty of good session material there. But I had to return the CD to my friend, so I still need to sort myself out and procure my own copy. The Blue CD is on the wish li...

North-west Germany

Hi Ladypiper,

I'm currently in Duesseldorf in the North-west of the Germany, so if you are passing through, let me know! There is usually a session to be had here somewhere (Duesseldorf, Cologne, Bonn) ...

All the best,

Helen.

Quick Report

Hi there, I've arrived back from Ireland, after having a wonderful week in Drumshanbo at the Joe Mooney Summer School. I participated in John Wynne's flute class, which I really enjoyed. He gave a mixture of new tunes, not just a rake of reels and jigs. And hearing him play in person was a real trea...

Hi there,

I have a similar problem, when doing some rolls (the A and E in particular) - to try and fix this, I've taken to playing the tune more slowly and making sure that I hit the holes properly, before bringing it back up to speed again.

Seems to be working for me!
