Byll in my view is right on regarding his microphone assessment. My only humble postscript is that if you're looking for a reasonably priced well regarded condenser mic, you may want to consider the Rode NT-1.

Loren, When this is over, I hope you keep your favorite D whistle - just in case..... Afetr all, you've sold so many and keeping your favorite would be at the very least a good memento and at the best a regret not taken, a potential serendipity experienced at a later time. Just save your favorite!!!...

Amon Olorin has some NA flutes http://www.aoflutes.com/main.htm They carry an ABS model for $64.95 (includes S$H) It is two Flutes in One -- G-minor and F# Tunings. If you're looking for one to start with, I think this is the one. You may have to wait a few weeks to get it but hey, I think its worth...

Assuming it's a 35mm, my suggestion is to take a sky blue cloth, place it on a table outside during a sunny day a couple of hours before or after the time the sun is overhead (so you have it say at 10 or 2 in the sky), supplement the backshadow are...
