Not sure where to ask this... (Help!)
Hiyo, I'm having, erm, , serious issues in this sight-singing class I'm taking. I know, I know, not about whistles. Well, it sort of is. I've always picked up tunes by ear, see, and struggled through the sheet music after words. And now I've enrolled in this sight-singing class--utterly deter...

The disadvantage is that it...

Re: Anyone feeling dizi?
A customer asked me if I would drill an extra hole between the embouchure hole and the first finger hole in my low D Irish flute in pvc in order for him to play it as a dizi. I said that I would give it a try. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dizi http://www.fournotes.com/asia/china/dizi.php Here is a ...

Attacking the Low C/ C# D / D# / E from any note above A
Hey all, I'm still making vast improvements in my flute playing, and I'm starting to get this "Right Handed" business down a bit better. (I can play both ways, but it gets confusing) -- I have a VERY frustrating problem. Well, two. The first is that I can't seem to do anything to get my fl...

Dale wrote; I NEVER had a problem with a Bb. Funny that, because I ALWAYS have a problem with a Bb. It must be something to do with my lungs/lips/tongue/throat/breath/body odour... failing all that I'm just a bozo with the B flat. At first it's okay but after 5 mins or so it just stops producing no...

Anyone know what happened?

Upgrading. (Crans!!!)
I've finally got my rolls, cuts, and taps down pat. They're crisp. They're in the rhythm of the tunes I play, mostly.
I want to learn how to cran.
Can someone direct me to a good learning spot? Or suggest a good book?
Thanks.
