Re: WTB: Alba bass A

I am still interested, in case someone out there has a nice, big whistle they could part with. It is the bass A I want, not the bass Bb. Although, of course, if you have a really good offer on a bass Bb, I might be interested.

I love the Alba low whistles, and now I'd like another one, preferably the lowest/biggest one there is. Please contact me if you have an Alba bass A low whistle for sale!

Thanks, everyone! I'm buying the album from Tradtunes right now. I don't really care about the price.

Where to download Lúnasa's Sé?

I've been trying to buy this album for download from the net, but I can only find CD as the only distributed media. Is there any webshop that lets me buy the album for download in MP3/WMA? I need more Lúnasa! :D

Re: Alba Low D

[...]great looking whistle and a good price. [...] It would be great to get that good combination of reasonable volume, finger spacing etc. Does such a thing exist? You just described my low Albas. ;) I got a low F and a low C, in other words no low D, but I should certainly have an idea of how it ...

They are very different animals, Barry. I love the Alba low G also (and the A is "to die for"), so I got a low D and borrowed a low F. I didn't like any Alba lower than G because, although the sound is very good, the window is sooooo large that it takes a whole lungful of air to get throu...

I've ordered a CD from the Burke website, and haven't yet received it, more than half a year later. I've sent an e-mail telling this, of course, and the reply said he was going to look at it. Still, nothing has happened.

I'm not sure I've read everything correctly but did Chris Bayley make the drones? The eBay post mentions that he refurbished the drones and then says that if the buyer wants drones and chanter by the same maker, a CB chanter is included in the sale. The original chanter is a non-Chris Bayley, but t...

Sorry, folks. The eBay link was only posted to show you pictures and the detailed description from the previous owner, who has lots of more experience than I have. Whatever price/shipping information that is written on the page is wrong, but YES, the extra chanter will be added. I'll make an ad with...

Uilleann piping accompanying another thing I love....great scenery...the Isle of Skye in this case.

I've climbed the ridge that is shown in the final 20 seconds of the clip.

Is that soundclip obtainable somehow? Who played this?
