Hi Claudine! Ça va? Haven't seen you here in a long time. Do you still have your Burke D? Do you want something louder than that? Maybe if you tell us your intended use, we can suggest something specific. Right after writing my last post, I remembered that I had the same problem (tuning slide...

Asking for help: tuning slide of my Burke whistle is blocked

I bought that Burke aluminum whistle a few years ago and hadn't played it for a while. Now I discovered that the tuning slide is blocked, doesn't move anymore. Any ideas what I can do?

when there's no session available, I sometimes play along to the Comhaltas CDs. That helps me a lot.

Re: New CD from John Wynne

i just got John Wynne's new CD. It is absolutely lovely.
Anyone know where I can get his 1st solo CD?
And do you know what flute he is playing on his new CD? I know he used to play a Murray, but the flute pictured in the CD booklet looks different.

Re: favorite flute teachers?

hello Ben,
you won't be choosing a teacher. There will be a grading, you have to play a bit and then Fintan Vallely will assign you to a teacher. But I think it is possible to change classes later if you don't like your teacher or class.
Have fun!
