Re: How is this trick done?

I think it takes eight perfect shuffles to get a deck back in it's original order (I might be off but I think that's what I remember). It's far more likely a false shuffle. It's also a lot easier to do a false shuffle than to do eight perfect shuffles. There are hundreds of false shuffles. Some simp...

Re: Did you get the snowstorm yet?

15 inches so far. Max the scottie says he'd rather hold it than go outside.

I am reminded of the reason I decided not to move back to Vermont.

For some reason I'm thinking back on some advice my dad gave me. . . never do anything once you won't be willing to do over and over and over and over.

Re: Our latest rescue kittycat.

Hey Steve, We've just gotten a new rescue as well. He was my daughters cat and was hit by a car in the middle of the night. After two plates and eleven pins, and daughter and cat being evicted, Loki arrived to stay with us. He's incredibly affectionate and talkative. His favorite way to wake us (usu...

Here's two.

Re: Ornaments on C nat

Hmmm, has any one tried a c roll this way: c g c f# c? oxx ooo xxx ooo oxx ooo xxx xoo oxx ooo It's just something that I stumbled upon. It's not great for those nice, leisurely, burbly rolls that can be so nice on stressed notes, but can be effective as a filler. Just curious. Mark PS Diego, your E...

Re: Dixon Polymer one piece flute in D, Good for beginners?

With all due respect, I actually think Abraxas is right. I started on a Hammy. I also have a boxwood Casey Burns, an old German keyed flute and an M & E polymer (mainly for camping and for playing at work). Had I started on the two latter flutes I wouldn't have kept playing. Okay, truthfully I s...

Re: Keurig?

They have one of those machines at the radio station I volunteer at. I hate it. It's expensive, the coffee is crap, and it's weak, weak, weak. Plus, you have to dispose of all those little cup thingies. Viva le French Press!!!!! :D Get a new kettle, a french press (one of the single serving 12 cup v...
