Re: What whistles in order to play in any key?

I play a lot of non-ITM and prefer the sound of a whistle over other comparable wind instruments. As such, I'm always on the hunt for new products, namely in terms of chromatic playing. I recently purchased one of the 10-hole chromatic whistles over at Musique Morneaux. Prior to purchasing, I found ...

FS: Syn, Susato Sets and an unplayable Gemeinhardt Piccolo

Hi all. I'm looking to sell a couple of whistle sets and an unplayable piccolo ( info below ). The whistle sets are like new, slightly used. Haven't played much in a while and with my recently acquired Busman C, I can pretty much play in any key. Would rather these sets be put to good use :) Preferr...

Re: Seeking advice.

If it's of any consolation, I've been playing for a little over 6 years now, and I'm still learning. Learning if part of the fun. I would definitely agree with Paul - learn by example. I can't tell you how many YouTube videos I've watched over the years of people playing. Do you play any instruments...

Re: CP: May report from O'Brien Whistles

I saw the Whisolo on your site, then searched the forums to see if any mention had been made about it. I think that's a great idea. Is this something you'd where you'd be able to fit the custom headjoint onto an existing piccolo (i.e. my piccolo) or just the piccolos you advertise on the site? I'm v...

Re: Wood types for a Busman - thoughts?

I see you are in Florida. I remember the effect that the Florida atmospherics had on many of my instruments when I lived there. I'd consider delrin. Tell me about it, lol. My current whistle of choice is my Dixon polymer. I bought a duduk a few years ago; granted it's much thicker, but I've been ab...

Wood types for a Busman - thoughts?

Hi all, I'm now giving much thought to [finally] ordering me a Busman whistle, and one of the more compelling decision points to be made is the wood type. I know that I want the stainless steel fittings, but does anyone have any suggestions as to the type of wood to get? Kingwood, cocobolo and tulip...

Re: Just remembered something...

...put an old mystery to rest. Hehe...it's my first time on the board since earlier this year. I went browsing my old posts, and stumbled across this one. With various "mysteries" that I can't solve, I'll usually give up , and return some time later...as it the case with this. I renewed m...

It was Alla that sang this version; Boris sang another. I've searched, and can find a translation for practically every other song the sang, except for that one and maybe two others.

Any Russian speakers in the Pub?

I stumbled across a song, and cann't seem to translate the lyrics. I tried Babelfish, but no such luck. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. Melo, melo po vsej zemle, Vo vse predely. Tech Question - HP Model Number Codes

I'm referring to the Codes at the end of a model number, like the cl, wm, and nr in:

tx1327cl
dv6409wm
dv6604nr

Any thoughts on what they are? I found something a while back indicating a different code for different processors, but I can't find a list anywhere.

Help finding an OLD cartoon

My brother's girlfriend and I have been internet surfing all day finding all sorts of old cartoons that we watched respectively as children. We found the old Disney silly symphony dancing skeletons, and betty boop's rhythm on the reservation. There's one we can't find. We don't remember the names of...

Haven't signed on in a while...catching up on old posts. It is probably video game music that prompted my appreciation for music, my most favorite composer being Koichi Sugiyama (Dragon Quest). Anywho, if I'm not mistaken, that piece was written by Michiru Yamane. She's written music for some of th...
