The hornpipe I recognize very well, but can't recall the name right now I'm afraid.
The jig is "The Walls of Liscarroll".

I fail to see why one can't appreciate both - I certainly do. Just like I enjoy listening to a good violin OR viola player.

Might be - I second Mikko's question.

The C natural key is only used in the second (high) octave. When in the lower octave you can (and should!) get the C natural by way of cross-fingering. Lift the right hand long finger, and perhaps the right hand ring finger as well, while playing C. Takes a wee bit of practice, but it's worth it!

Does anybody know how to get hold of the elusive CD "Trí agus Trí" where Jimmy O'Brien-Moran play together with a hurdy-gurdy player named Pól Ó Ceallaigh? It was presented in An Píobaire no. 30 in 2005 but I've been unable to locate it anywhere.
