I would be very thankful for a more... um... constructive feedback. That is - what exactly is wrong and what should I do to make it right? If you think I should listen to a better recording than from that book - leave a link please. My playing there is very similar to the playing from the Slow Airs...

I have weighed into this argument several times in the recent past - a bit like wading into a pond full of piranha without your wellies on!!! IMHO slow airs are the very essence of Irish music - leaving aside the music which was strictly intended for dancing. Most slow airs have words, they are song...

What a C*** and s**t idea having a P**s and Moan site. It would be a better idea to give a red star for each Moan, Rant, or Belly-ache posted and when someone collects 5 stars exile them to the Squeeze Box forum for 6 month!! Err - Emm - Doh - Oops!!! How many red stars does that count up to? Exiled...

Really excellent review and great quality sound clips!
The whistle looks really beautiful. It would appear to
have elements of both the Kerry Songbird and the Alba.

Thanks again for a very useful review.

I was talking to Ian just recently, and he tells me that he has a completly new design for Low Whistles, but he is not ready for production just yet. I am really looking forward to seeing, and hearing, and playing one of these in due time. Ian is indeed a superb craftsman and a complete gentleman in...
