Practice Set, or Practice Chanter?

What do people think when it comes to useing a UP practice set (bag, bellows, chanter) for learns, or using a Practice chanter (just chanter). i play the GHB, and the small pipes. so bellows and bags arnt a problem. i dont want to invest too much right now, so i'm thinking of messing around with a U...

Good Point. How do the drones sit? Do they fit into the crook of your arm, or over your shoulder? like the GHB drones. Walsh pipes are about the same quality wise, but ( i know its a stupid way to buy) i'm going for a non GHB drones look. Shuttle pipes do sound good enough, but the idea kind of scar...

The two pipes i that i was "touching" were not of significance age 1980's (?? OLDEST). One was a practice set, with a chanter that look semi-decently made. The other was a half set, Brazilian rosewood drones, set up for a left handed, mid-quality bellow, the chanter was missing the mechani...

So naturally I'm stumped on the question of chanter pitches and fingering relating there too. What is the fingering for the A, B, C, and D chante...
