Practice Set, or Practice Chanter?
What do people think when it comes to useing a UP practice set (bag, bellows, chanter) for learns, or using a Practice chanter (just chanter). i play the GHB, and the small pipes. so bellows and bags arnt a problem. i dont want to invest too much right now, so i'm thinking of messing around with a U...

Good Point. How do the drones sit? Do they fit into the crook of your arm, or over your shoulder? like the GHB drones. Walsh pipes are about the same quality wise, but ( i know its a stupid way to buy) i'm going for a non GHB drones look. Shuttle pipes do sound good enough, but the idea kind of scar...

Dose anyone have a set of these? Made by Gibson, there not UP, can be bellow or mouth blown, played in the highland style. come in the key of A,Bb, or D. Do you think the use of brass reed toungs are applicable for GHB drones? I often use differnt types of reeds for the differnt drones, normally i'll have two stable sythetic drone reeds (e-z) for tennor, then a cane or sythetic body reed with a cane toung for bass. how dose the brass work with your l...
