Re: Froment B set on ebay

I also wondered if Froment used makers marks or other distinctive features that would make it easy to determine the authenticity and/or age of the set. All the sets I've seen (not many, 3 or 4) have his na...

What a good idea. I've got an old stethoscope which has now been repurposed.

Re: Silicon tube for drone reeds

I think its for making bridles. Little ring shaped slices would be cut with a knife to form a ring. The silicone tube will have a degree of stretch, and I guess it has to be worked onto the drone and slid into position. Basically an alternative to a traditional hemp bridle.

For me its learning the fiddle (Irish and Cajun), amateur radio, reading and reedmaking. I don't get nearly anywhere near the time I would like to do all these things though.

Re: practice session time

It depends on how much time is available to me. During the working week, a practice session might be as short as 20-30 mins. At the weekend, a practice might last 2 to 3 hours.

Re: Bag Type and Regs

Have you tried using a shoulder strap? Using one allows the reg positions to be moved a little by adjusting the position of the left shoulder. It may make things a little easier.
