Re: T Dixon Alto G

Ian, which model Alto G do you have? The Tony Dixon website shows a DX107 with aluminum body and a DX007 all polymer. Does it require pipers grip? Have you played the Alto A and if so does it require the pipers grip? I am on the lookout for an affordable low A or G whistle to play in church. Most of...

Re: CP: Goldfinch Whistle World Tour

GOLDFINCH WHISTLE TOUR (A REVIEW) by Ben Bradley Note: I am following the general outline used by Tin Whistler who has expertly reviewed many whistles on his own website. Overall appearance This D whistle is beautifully made and has real attention to detail in the construction. The whistle is tunabl...

Re: CP: Goldfinch Whistle World Tour

I just received a new Goldfinch D today for the US leg of the tour. It is beautifully made. I have only played it a very short while but I am already impressed with the tone, workmanship, and playability. I will post more info when I have had time to play it for a while.

Re: Probably a Dumb Question - KEYS

You might try Daniel Bingamon with Jubilee Whistles. I think he has put keys on whistles. Maybe you can send him your whistle and he can install a key or two. Not sure.

Re: Polish whistle maker

How about doing a US whistle tour with a couple of your whistles so that they can be tried out here?

How is the tone hole spacing on the lower 3 holes? Piper's grip only playing? How about a pic showing all of the tone holes.

Re: Tilbury Music Company world tour

The USA leg of the Tilbury Whistle tour is now at an end. The Western tour whistle has just been returned to Chuck Tilbury which brings that final leg of the US tours to a close. If you weren't on any of the tour lists you missed out on playing a truly beautiful whistle. Thanks Chuck. My thanks also...

Re: Tilbury Music Company world tour

The last person on the Western Tour has just received the whistle. When he has evaluated it he will send it back to Chuck concluding the last leg of the US tours.
I hope everyone had a joyous and merry Christmas. I did.

Re: Tilbury Music Company world tour

I just received the Central tour whistle today and I am the last one on that tour. This brings the Central tour to a close with just the Western US tour remaining.

Re: Tilbury Music Company world tour

Chuck told me today that the European tour has ended with a lost whistle. Evidently it was just too hard to deal with customs and the sometimes unpredictable mail delivery of some countries. (Chuck didn't say that, I did.) Chuck made no mention of making another whistle to send out on that tour agai...

Re: Tilbury Music Company world tour

The european leg tour whistle was sent to me more than a month ago, but did not reach me. I suppose it was either lost by Mail of Russia, or it didn't find me for some reason. I've sent an email to the guy who was previous, asking for a package number, if any, but got no reply. This quote was take ...

Re: Tilbury Music Company world tour

Chuck Tilbury is handling the European tour and I haven't heard anything about it in a while. I will see what I can find out.
I heard from Ted today and he tells me that the whistle has already been sent out to the next person on the Western tour so that only leaves one person to go on that one.

Re: Tilbury Music Company world tour

The Central Tour is about to come to a close. The whistle is on it's way to me and I am the last person on that tour. The Eastern Tour has already ended with that whistle being sent back to Chuck. The Western Tour still has two people left to go. Ted Anderson will be sending it to Stephen Cull hopef...
