I agree with you 100% Pat. It’s hard to believe Swannaona would do something like this “$100 pit pass”. In a contrast with Elkins where they encourage the playing music with the locals, it does not make sense or cents. Pat, your participation in the concert with David Power, Tommy Peoples, and Marti...

Hi Boyd, I have a Rogge D set with plastic drone reeds and have the same condition that you do. I think he does set up the baritone drone as being dominate. I have used weed eater line, plastic tube, straws. It will make the drone some what quiter but also flatter, so you have to move in the drone s...

I think a lot of it will be who the pipe maker is that makes the flat set. To my ears, not all of them sound the same when in the same key. I would not cross off a C# set from your list until you have played a really nice set. On a C# the holes are closer and I find it easier to play. I really like ...

I really liked the web site and Mick's piping. My computer was very slow in dealing with any audio files which was very disappointing, as I think I could learn a few things from him. I will try again as there's a lot there.

Thanks ..... Ed

Jean-Yves le Pape

I have been listening to a CD by Jean-Yves le Pape on the uilleann pipes from Brittany. He's got some very clean crisp piping, a pleasure to hear. His CD has also some bouzouki, bodhran, and guitar. It may be an old CD as it was given to me. Does anyone know of him? and does he have other CD's? Who ...

Sorry to hear of your losing Liffey. I know she must have meant very much to you and its hard to say good bye to a pet. I don't know if pets go to Heaven, but I want to go where they go. ..... Ed

Which Bass Regulator do you like?

More people are playing regulators these days and I would like to know on the bass regulator which do you prefer and what are the advantages / your opinions of these two types? Straight Bar - that goes across your arm. U-Bend - that turns back over the main stock. Thanks for your information .... Ed

John, I remember the Tionol in Maine a couple of years ago when at a meeting, it was proposed to have the 2003 Tionol in North Carolina and one person spoke up saying " Who would go to North Carolina for a Tionol"? ". As you'll recall it turned out to be was a great Tionol in Chapel H...
