Hi all, can anyone tell me the name of the tune that Paddy plays with the harpist at about 25mins into the programme on TG4.ie webtv?? And has he recorded it on any album?

I wouldn't be impressed by his piping at all. Speed only impresses those who know no different. He plays the chanter like a flute and if you listen properly he actually looses time and makes mistakes at one point

I heard him play at Willie week last year and on ceili house the other night. I think he is fantastic. The ryhthm and swing in his playing is wonderful and his regulator playing is a joy. Small little fella with red hair. Was just wondering where he was from and what he does with himself.

I'll say it again....John McSherry does not and cannot play the regs and didn't even have them until a while back. I'm sure he bloody well could if he was to put in the time but he choses not to and therefore doesn't. I don't care what recordings are out there, they are easily mastered. This is fact...

Davy Spillane is a very accomplished reg player but I was referring to John McSherry who doesn't play em at all...

Undoubtedly a very accomlished player and brilliant ,but doesn't play the regs and definately doesn't do it for me.
