Patina or No Patina... Does it affect the sound?

Would like to hear your opinions on this. How many of you think that letting your brass whistles get that 'Patina' from not cleaning them, makes them sound better? Some folks say they sound better that way. Other say that one should keep them nice and shiny to sound good. Your thoughts? Thank you fo...

I begin the tune on the low D, fundamental . I find that I have more range and freedom of expression beginning on this note. The tune sounds fuller and you do not need to half hole at all...

Gary Humphrey makes a great C Whistle. When he re-opens this summer, you might consider ordering one from him. He made a beautiful C Whistle for me.

Ok, so I ordered one of Jerry Freeman's Bluebird Whistles in E Flat. Bottom line.......... You MUST order one! Jerry has once again worked his magic. The whistle is pure and birdlike. It sounds like an Irish Whistle should sound like. Jerry delivers exactly what he says. I am very excited about this...
