Here is the best method to learn how to make reeds...its a long way but the only one (IMHO)...Try it !

What do you call " the heart of the scrape" ? I learnt to make reeds with Alain Froment and never heard about the " heart of the scrape" but only the "scrape"
Would you please explain what you are calling like that?
