What kind of steel are they made from?
These cut bi-directionally on the corners? From the pic it's tough to tell.
If on the corners, you've accounted, in your design, for the bore profile being cut on the far corners of the hypotenuse?

Re: Antoinette McKenna RIP
This is sad news. I saw Joe & Antoinette @ McCabe's in Santa Monica years ago.
What a lovely harp player & singer. I always especially enjoyed "The Gartan Mother's Lullaby", when she sang it.
My condolences to the family.

Re: Computer controlled pipe makers
Good spot, Rory!
Here's an image from ArPa's website. Color & trim of the mill match, and block wall with a compressed air line running horizontally along it at the same height, match in both photos.
It's ArPa's Lagun machining center.

I don't know the story behind it, and the NPU URL no longer works, but it clearly shows a CNC mill & lathe in the background.

Re: Computer controlled pipe makers

Ah, Bill...I take your silence on this board as tacit agreement with me on the Pakistani issue.
Unwrinkle your skirt & come back. These kids aren't any fun to fight with.

Nice snag! Those guys on the CNC Zone forum have been converting everything but their grandma's shopping carts, (routers, plasma cutters, lathes, mills), with rolled ballscrews, steppers or servos, and PC based controls. That'd really be the best place to start. SolidWorks should do ya fi...
