Hi Wombat and djm... thanks for trying to point me in a direction. I guess I wasn't terribly clear about my question, so I'll try again. Singing styles in the six Celtic nations?

Hi all... this question isn't strictly ITrad, but it's still somewhat on topic. :) Does anyone know if the Isle of Man, Cornwall, and Brittany have "names" (for lack of a better term at the moment) for their trad singing styles? For example, I believe these to be correct for the other thre...

By the by, if any of you have seen the latest adverts for Hertz car rentals, you may have noticed that their new slogan is "Rent Wisely." Moonlighting, Dale? I did see that, and I was going to make a comment... you beat me to it. Darn it all. A day late and a dollar short! Guess I won't b...

Actually, on second reading, I see that those pickup lines were "the most popular"... :o

Umm, Amar... you really oughtn't use the pick-up lines from TonyH's thread-- those were ones that were *not* recommended. ;)

Happiness is...

...a cucumber and alfalfa sprout sandwich on 12-grain bread, Mary Black on my stereo, and Chiff & Fipple on my computer screen. A good day, I must say.

Just had to say that, thanks!

I've just started working on Lynyrd Skynyrd's Freebird on my D. I tried working out The Entertainer, but got frustrated.

I think I'm going to follow Walden's lead and try out Wabash Cannonball, I used to play that in band on my clarinet.

As much as I love pictures of Ireland (and believe me, that's a lot!), Kaylee's page was my absolute favorite... give her a scratch behind the ears for me! :) Thanks for sharing!

Hurricane and Tornado Check-In

Hey all... I just wanted to post to see how our Chiffsters in Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, southern Georgia, and the panhandle region of Florida are doing. I hope that all is well with you and your loved ones!!

My thoughts are with everyone affected by Ivan and the tornadoes.

Blessings,
