Re: approximate value of a Laughing Whistle?
I still make telescoping whistles, called Stowaways. Email me at davidpeterobrien@yahoo.com If you’re interested. I have deluxe leather cases for them, too. As I mentioned here before, my website was compromised and I haven’t gotten around to making a new one. I had a TIA, (mini-stroke) in the sprin...

Re: Is David O'Brien in Canada still building ?

Re: Whistle Giveaway
I'd have to go with Les Poules Houpes, or Crested Hens. A nice minor feel, with a surprise or two. And any tune about fancy chickens gets my vote. Probably in 6/8, but it seems very waltzy.

CP: New from O'Brien- Rambler C/D brass set
My new offering finally has a name: The Rambler. It's a brass and Delrin C/D set, with the bodies joined in the middle, like Clare whistles. The cloth bag is included, for a cost of C$160, which is only US$120, with the current state of the Canuck Buck. http://obrienwhistles.com/sitebuilder/images/I...

Re: Questions about intro vs pro and how to choose.
It's me again, with another clarification. I think the whistle he got second hand is not my original narrow bore brass, which was made from thick-walled tubing. The way he described it sounds like a D/C set that I made a few of, in the two-piece style of a Clare whistle. I couldn't think of a catchy...
