well, the description says, "A "bag" of similar volume to the real that it does not need be blown, though yes pressed."

i'm pretty sure that means you squeeze it.

After working at the whistle for a while, I decided that playing Irish music was something I really wanted to do and was committed to learning, and it was worth committing hours of practice to. From there it was a much easier jump to saying..."yep, I really could learn the pipes." yeah......

Good instruments cost good money whatever you'd like to play. unless you like to play the tin whistle, from what i read. Clancy and more recently John Rooney started out on the tin whistle, get to grips with that instrument while you save up for a decent practice set from a reputable maker. yep - t...

And as I said above, you'll be much better off if you just learn to play the whistle well and then kit yourself out with a workable practice set. But that's obviously not what you want to hear so good on you and work away to your hearts content :D ! yes, Peter, you're right - there is definitely an...

Good for you - learn what you can with your cheapy chanter, but just be aware that you can't learn much that way and you need a good practice set ASAP. :D

Dude, you have a picture of my C set as your avatar. It's, like, freakin' me out. As if the set is sneaking off to New York while I'm away at work. :P heehee! :D must confess: i "borrowed" that photo from Seth Gallagher's site. i just think it's a dead lovely photo (and as many know now, ...

no, i understand that i'm not really learning the instrument the way i need to; i'm not even learning the *instrument*. what i'm doing is only a little less extreme than "learning the saxophone" by buying a mouthpiece and changing the pitch of the squawk by covering and uncovering the end....

My Jeep is a 2000 and I wish I would have bought a 90-96 model. I have had valve issues from the start along with coils and plugs. Something about them though, I love my Jeep still. I will probably drive this till it dies and then buy another one. I have no problem off-roading up here. Only expensi...

No Pat he plays a mouth blown chanter with a plastic reed. Sums it about up i would think. guilty as charged. i guess i'm speaking too freely here, from not enough experience (though in fact i never claimed to be speaking from experience). i've heard from *one* player that some Pakistani equipment ...
