Clogging Issues
Hi Eric, It's just the area from where your lips touch through the windway(narrow space) out to the window on the top side of the black fipple. So, if you dip your fipple in the solution, shake out the excess, and let it dry, it should be fine. Then, when the moisture builds up(it's not foolproof) j...

Burkes: What do you think?
Hello Eric,
With Michael Burke's reputation as a talented builder, with many satisfied professional players as his mainstay, coupled with a 30 Day money back offer, it's not a difficult decision, at least for me! Good luck with your new Burke!
PS Your Avatar makes ME tired! You must be a JIG man!

Piper's grip on B-flat whistle?
Hi Jen,
Yes, even though I can play it with my fingertips, it seems much more comfortable with less stress on fingers/wrists with the pipers grip. I have a blue top nickel Gen Bb, and think it's a great whistle for the money!

Windows XP Service Pack 2 – WARNING!
I installed it last week, had some problems with it, uninstalled it and things are back to almost normal now. It didn't slow mine down I don't believe, but there were definite issues!
I had a similar problem with the AOL spyware download, and got rid of that also.

Hello Amar, The Burke EZ low D has a very interesting sound from the one clip on Clips and Snips ,in jigs I believe. Why don't you talk to Mike Burke, and see how he compares them, seeing that you have the Al version already. Let us know what you decide to go for. I do like the tone of it-wish I had...

S.Z.B.E. Whistles from Japan?
I just listened to his low D(without reverb) on his website, and one thing struck me funny as I listened. It sounds as though he took his whistle sound right from a steam whistle-you know, the kind you hear in old movies(if you weren't young enough to hear them)that signaled the opening and closing ...

Hi Nancy,
Thanks for the cello links! Great stuff! Looks like you had a great musical experience in the mountains. I don't envy trying to breathe well at 9,000 feet though!

If it's a SYN,
It'l make you grin!
On the bottom
All right, two for the price of one:
Go ahead and SYN,
It'l make you grin!
or three:

You've got a SYN!

Beer and Whistles!!
AAAHHHHHH! Two of my favorite subjects! BEER! WHISTLES! BEER! WHISTLES! BUURRPP! The courage to play is sometimes found in the glass, to forget about yourself, and concentrate on making music. It's a fine line for optimum benefit vs impairment, but sometimes, it's worth researching. It works the sam...
