I'm new to this board, but this discussion surpasses much of what I've seen on a few boards dedicated exclusively to Catholic issues and concerns, so I am grateful for this unexpected Christmas ...

Thanks to all for these great suggestions. I tried Audacity and it works like a charm. I appreciate all the help. I'm now up and recording!

I want to record myself using my computer mic, but the program that comes with Windows only records for 60 seconds. Is there any freeware out there for recording longer sound files? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
