Sara shouldn't have had her post locked, no matter what she called the President. Free speech is free speech. But I do think the line should be drawn when you seriously threaten another person. Like, if I said I was going to sho....well, nevermind. If I want to say that President Bush is a a Fascis...

Caj, Since when is simply posting an article stating the characteristics of a Fascist regime "political spam"? If I posted something and said, "Vote for this person . . . . George Bush is a Fascist!", that would be spam. My thread was simply an informative article to make people ...

Definitely either Give Peace a Chance or Imagine. My favorite would be Imagine.

I had no idea today was his birthday . . . .

Unless my memory escapes me, my thread didn't generate any heated discussions regarding politics. The majority of the replies basically just said that I tend to post off-topic discussions and never really post about things related to pennywhistles. The bottom line is that if off topic posts that are...

OT: Just curious . . . .

I'm noticing a great many OT posts, in particular the poll/discussion on religion. Is it not thought that the two topics that will generate the most debate, and sometimes arguments, are religion and politics? I see the religion thread has gotten 110 replies, which leads me to wonder why a thread on ...

I'm not sure if this suggestion was already posted, but I like "Ireland's 110 Best Session Tunes" - really good book; comes with two CDs.

"A person who opposes and rejects many of the conventional standards
and customs of society, especially one who advocates extreme liberalism
in sociopolitical attitudes and lifestyles."

That would describe me. ;)

I've never eaten any really strange flavour of ice cream, but I did eat a horseradish flavor Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Jelly Bean; I didn't know what flavor it was and I put it in my mouth aware of the taste sensation I was about to experience - horrible. :o Absolutely disgusting . . . I'll never f...

I consider myself an Agnostic/Taoist. There's really nothing of the Taoist philosophy I disagree with.

I see many Atheists as being just as fanatical as staunch Christians.

I would love it if Bush started playing the whistle!

Maybe he'd start playing it constantly, so he'd always have something in his mouth which would prevent him from continuing his rambles regarding the "War on Terror"
