I have a very soft and pure sounding A from Mack Hoover. Clear tone, easy to play. He will also make a new head to put on the existing body, if that’s what you want.

Came up in a discussion with a friend - are they? Many started with words,I believe, and could be considered airs, but is that The whole story?

WARBL is pretty good for grace notes. You can set a number of the parameters such that it gets very close to whistle or chanter performance. Eg you can manually input overblow pressures, how many milliseconds the pressure is required to be above/below that threshold for a jump/drop, and a multitude ...

I find my Mack Hoover A to be especially mellow and easy to play

Hi all. I’m just beginning this flute thing, but previously played the pipes. As someone who never had to control their breath before - how long can you play for on one breath? Likewise, what is a ballpark figure that is reasonable?
