There are two music shops in Inverness. They are very close together. At least one of the shops doesn't allow you to blow the whistles for health and safety reasons. Is it just my stupid brain....I have always reduced hole size (via tape or wax) to flatten individual notes.

I have an E flat resin M&E flute for sale, tuning slide and metal mounts, comes in the case I got with it. I bought it new from Michael Cronnolly a good few years ago now. It's in good nick, not been abused at all, handy for the odd E flat session, I got this one to harmonise with a B flat flute...

To avoid left and right confusions, since "to the right" from the audience perspective is the opposite to the piper perspective. (And then there are left-handed pipers to think of !)...... If you describe laterality in terms of the bag side and bellows side of the piper then....... I think...
