The 2011 West Coast (USA) tionol will be hosted by the San Francisco Pipers' Club. Tiarnan O'Duinnchinn and Eamonn Curran will be the guest pipers. Looks like it was a successful internship! Those pipes look as nice as anything else coming out of the Hubbert workshop. Maybe you'll return to pipemaking after grad school? (We can hope.)

If you have an iPhone, I recommend the "Cleartune - Chromatic Tuner" app. It feels much more responsive than my CA30, and it has a lot of configuration options (e.g., more than a dozen different temperaments, callibrating to arbitrary frequencies, transposition, needle damping, etc.). All ...

I don't really know anything about it, but as I suggested, it seems likely to me that this limitation of ASD will go away with iPhoneOS 3.0. Hopefully they'll give free upgrades to a new version of the app and your $15 will not be wasted. You just have to wait a few months....which should be nothing...

I haven't tried it yet either but my impression was that you need to download the music from your computer once, separate from your iTunes files. After that, you should be able to use it without a computer. There is hope for the situation improving in the future, too. The next version of the iPhone ...
