I'd reckon that dipping plastic, metal or wood mouthpieces in alcohol (or preferably having at them with a medical wipe) wouldn't do any harm and would sterilise any lurgy the maker/tweaker might pass on. But a better bet might be to ask when you consider ordering. Self-tweaking ... (taking a hamme...

#2: Before I accidentally emigrated, I decided to MP3 my entire music collection. About 100 CDs took several days of intensive labour to transfer. I have one of the MP3-CD players (looks just like a normal portable CD player) and it works out what the heck type of disc I've stuck in there itself - ...

Echoing what Monster said.

If you've been sending them out monthly, Dale, there's a chunky problem, because I've only received 2-3 in the last 8 months or more. Hopefully you've been sending them less often and everything's okay. Right..? Right..??!

About tutorial obsession

I can relate to this disorder. I'm trying very hard not to make tutorials the be-all-and-end-all of my whistle-playing time - leaving room for poddling about and practicing random tunes that grab my fancy. In other subject areas I've suffered with the delusion that just reading enough books will te...

Ouch, Cara - cheaper for you to have kept it and bought them a new copy?! I've made a fair old list of revolutions and love looking back over last years' to see how I did. And the answer is pretty well this year - other than my goal of never eating the same kind of meal 2 days running ... I am such...

Re: Embedded link

<i>How do you create those neato links that are embedded in a different word or words? Like a link to Ebay in the words "Electronic Junk Heap."</i> Ahh, it's a little bit of code you need, Kevin. It goes something like: Text here. So ... an example might read: [ur...

Other Tolkien links

Here's a lazy question: what are some good Tolkein related links? I know there's gotta be a million of 'em, but what would be some good ones? Maybe some all purpose type page that lists good sites? Seconding John-N's recommendation of tORN - it's pretty much the classic, to my mind, and has an exce...

Mine (and my previous) kinda look like me, in that I am about an inch tall and have green hair. I have digital pics of me elsewhere, and funky LiveJournal icons ... but I like to keep my iconicness vaguely separate.

It's not boredom here, I just like to help out where I can. I keep an eye on here and the Help forum next door on a fairly regular basis. Not that I know much ... but people are welcome to whatever I have.

I would love to see Europe enjoy the same freedoms we take forgranted. Uncanny how I have been thinking exactly that as a European (well, Brit, but who's counting) about the US. (But not Canada, so I won't use the term 'America'). [Extended and unnecessary rant deleted here.] *** More euro posters ...
