Thanks for the suggestions and emails from those who did. I have sold the set at purchase price. Just like boat ownership: the two happiest days are they day you buy it, and the day you sell it.
Thanks!

Is anyone willing to drop me a line and suggest start prices ? And would eBay be the best place to sell, at least from my perspective?

Thanks!! Islandpiper

What is the b...

Isn't it fun to throw a hammer into the bee-hive once in a while and see what flies out?

Funny how people just love to take on a tradesman's job......because there can't be much to it.......but they never do their own dental work, or spey their own dogs, maybe never change the oil in their cars, but are happy to beat a working man out of his day's pay........

additional question regarding drone reeds

OK.........the answer to this is no doubt buried in the old threads and I just can't find it: My bass drone plays very sharp, no matter what I do. I have pulled the slides as far as possible. I have added a small lump of sticky wax to slow it down. to no avail...... I pulled the bridle back onto the...

chinese UPs:?

Are the Chinese making UPs yet? If not I wonder why........they make shoes, watches, cameras, violins, guitars and everything else by the billions.....wait till they catch on UPs and everyone will have a set in their car.... The honest truth however, is that their UPs would probably be a lot better ...

further posture questions

OK, while we are at it........I have regs on the way from CJ Dixon, and when I sit down to play I can't imagine that I will be able to hit the keys with the mainstock, etc where it is right now......seems to be way too far off to the right. Can this be caused by a too-long neck on the bag leading to...

how I started (late)

Although primarily a GHBer you might find this interesting. My Dad was in a howitzer battery in Europe in WWII and his battery was watched over by a bunch of Highlanders, who set up a perimeter defense around the battery and traveled with it. They carried a piper around who did his duty every sunup,...

finally, a valve that works

OK......after trying several leathers in my bellows, all leaking and all to no avail, I hit upon this......... I took out the ebony valve-plug from the side of the bellow and removed all the old valve and hemp, and carefully "faced" the valve surface with a fine diamond stone. I suppose so...

no sweat, just start building

And when you get done with your first couple of sets this week, maybe you can take on the family dental work, after all, the dentist just drills a bit and fills up the empty spots. No problem! (It is amazing how everyone is an expert at everything since the internet was invented((by al gore)). heh h...

well, we are moved.....to Louisiana

After a decade of family debate, two months of packing and a taste of hell in the process, several long drives and major expense we have relocated our home and business from Iron River, Michigan to Ponchatoula/Hammond, Louisiana. One reason we did this was to put the business where there were number...
