Re: Death in Scandinavia

That's where you're wrong. The bigger issue isn't how we related to the resources (plants, animals, other resources such as oil) that we control. That's only a small part of it. The biggest issue here is how we each relate to us . It's how we step back and respect the choices of those nations and pe...

Re: Death in Scandinavia

I like Norwegia (sounds better than Norway, doesn't it?) and I support their right to hunt their own puffins.

Re: water filters

I got a PUR one today, one that attaches to the faucet itself and can be turned on or off (such as when washing dishes, you don't need purified water for that).

Re: water filters

I just leave my drinking water in a jug in the fridge til it chills. Tap water is pretty safe to drink. Total additonal cost: $0 The sulfur makes it undrinkable. There are recommendations from this city that certain parts of town filter their tap water. I always buy water in bottles but am thinking...

Re: Happy Birthday Cyndi Lauper!

I liked her when she first came out and she was a well needed breath of fresh air. One of the songs that I've been trying to figure out on the whistle for the last couple of months, when I came remember is True Colors. I saw her play the dulcimer on TV not to long ago. How nice that Cyndi is no lon...

We don't have actual sunlight in these parts, just clouds and rain.

water filters

Do any of you use water filters? If you do, what kind?

My tap water tastes really weird (like chemicals) and instead of buying bottled water over and over and over, I'm thinking about buying one of those filters that attaches to the tap itself.

Neat! Thanks. I'll check that out. I k...

Re: Happy Birthday Cyndi Lauper!

I knew about the dulcimer, but I missed the whistles. Do you know any of her songs off the top of your head that feature whistle? I'd like to find 'em. I always enjoy remembering back in the 80's when Madonna first came on the scene (as a brunette, at the time). People asked, "When did Cyndi L...

Happy Birthday Cyndi Lauper!

Ms. Lauper plays the dulcimer and has had pennywhistle featured on her albums before.
