New Piping blog/pod cast.

Hi folks, I just started a weblog/podcast site of my errant piping. A few people (one in particular who I wanted to oblige) were asking me for a few pipes tunes on tape, so I've done it like this and all are welcome (at your own risk!) The sound quality ain't great, I'll warn you in advance... but y...

Any reccomendations as to where to buy one?

Roaratorio.

A few of you may be interested in some footage of John Cage's famous homage to Joyce's 'Finnegan's Wake': http://www.ubu.com/film/cage_greenaway.html ...The relevant footage begins @ 42.00 mins and features (among other bewildered looking Irish music icons) a certain charismatic fluter who may prove...

Is that a photo of the famous Japanese/Irish sean-nos singer Seamus O'Sensei I see in the background there?

FS: Great Jiari Shakuhachi.

Hello All, I'm selling an excellent 1.8 Perry Yung jiari shakuhachi as I am pursuing playing longer jinashi flutes. This is a great instrument and I don't like to see it sitting here all quiet! It's made from Chinese bamboo with rattan binding at the joint. Its a pro 'Yung' Model: Perry's most refin...

Claudine,

No, because the flute was en route before the story was posted.

Please be aware that Sam does not pay a lot of attention to the net... good call if you ask me.

Regards,

Harry.

Fluter Alex Chan(g)???

Hail All, I'm trying to get in touch with an old student of mine name of Alex Chan or Chang (...think that's his second name, spelling might be wrong). I gave him lessons when we both lived in Galway about, I dunno, 8 years ago. Nice guy, long hair, had lots of flutes. Any help appreciated. Rock!!! ...

Hi All, Just moved to the countryside. Big disruptions to everything. We only have a slow, dial-up internet connection for another week or so, so all lessons are on hold as its just too slow a connection to support it. Same problem with Myspace, it takes ages to load the page to check messages etc. ...

Yeah, that's a Eugene Lambe alright. A lot of people who were learning flute had them a while back in the West. The dates seem a bit early though; 25-30 years ago seems too early for one of these, but Eugene has been making stuff for a long time (maybe 20 years?) The body was usually just one piece....

Hi, Tom. I hope you and yours are well. Is the 'North American Province of CCE' financially independent from the Irish C.C.E? If so, can we see that organisations published accounts? As I'm sure you know C.C.E Ireland do not divulge much in this regard, and we know they receive large amounts of publ...
