I play uilleanns... have a David Quinn chanter, an Angus narrow bore chanter and a Lynch half set. I also have a 1/2 set from Seth Gallagher in C coming this summer. There is a VERY active uilleann piping board if you wish to join. It's at uilleann@listserve.heanet.ie

I find that copper has a pretty warm sound to it, regardless of how I work it. Silver can actually be even warmer, quite milky in tone.
